I need a new debit card ASAP—ideally something I can use right away online or get delivered within 4 days. I’m currently in Las Vegas, NV, but my ID situation is a bit complicated. My Nevada ID has expired, and I only have an out-of-state passport and SS card on me. I also need the card sent to the hotel where I’m staying as the mailing address, which I know some banks may not allow. Any suggestions?
This sounds a bit risky. Most banks would need a valid ID and permanent address, especially for issuing a card that fast. You might have better luck once you’re back home and can use a local branch or credit union.
Most banks require a residential address, and new account debit cards typically take 7-10 business days. Quick issuance to a temporary address may not be possible.
Most big banks provide a temporary card if you open an account in person. You might be able to use a passport and SS card for ID and set up a UPS box as a residential address.
You could look at prepaid cards from places like Walgreens or Walmart if you just need something temporary for online use. But be aware these aren’t always accepted everywhere.
