What does debit card pending correction mean Wells Fargo?

Hello Pals
I recently noticed a transaction on my Wells Fargo debit card statement marked as “Debit Card Pending Correction.” I’m not sure what this means exactly, and it’s the first time I’ve seen this term. Could someone explain what “Debit Card Pending Correction” indicates in the context of Wells Fargo transactions? Does it affect my account balance or pending transactions in any way? Any insights or experiences with similar situations would be really helpful.

The statement indicates that there is a problem or discrepancy with a recent debit card transaction. Essentially, it means that the bank is aware of the issue and is taking steps to correct it.
Therefore the statement should not get you worried because it is a problem the bank is aware of and they will correct it soon enough.

Update: I finally connected with a banker after a 40-minute wait, and they informed me that the vendor(s) had attempted to charge the amount before, but it might not have been successful at the time of the original transaction for whatever reason. As a result, we are currently being billed for the transaction(s).
That’s all well and good, but if that’s the case, I did wonder why this is occurring to so many WF consumers on a large scale. Although the banker’s answer was brief (“I don’t know”), they did clarify that we weren’t charged twice.
