Apologies if this isn’t the appropriate subreddit, but I’ve hit a dead end searching on Google. I noticed nearly $200 withdrawn from my bank account, labeled as “debit card pending correction.” This is unfamiliar territory for me. It’s with Wells Fargo, if that helps at all. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I have never experienced anything like this when it comes to banking with a credit union.
Love yourself enough to give up on Wells Fargo.
They’ve provided several justifications in the past, yet its customers keep encountering problems. LEAVE NOW!!

Do not worry, SpeakingBanking is a fantastic resource for banking inquiries.
Here’s what it could imply if your Wells Fargo debit card is “waiting correction”:
- Awaiting Hold: It is probably a cash hold for something you bought using a debit card recently. These typically go away in 2-4 days.
- Error Required: This raises some concerns. It might point to a problem with the actual transaction.
This is what you should do:
- Check Online Banking: See if any transactional details could shed light on the “correction.”
Get in touch with Wells Fargo: To learn more about the “pending correction,” give customer support a call at 1-800-869-3557. - Keep an Eye on Your Account: Be mindful of it. You are good if it clears naturally. Get in touch with Wells Fargo once more if it remains in the “pending correction” status or turns into a completed transaction you are unaware of.
I hope this helps!
