I’m thinking of opening a high-yield savings account with Barclays. How’s the customer service, online banking, and overall ease of use? Would love to hear your experiences.
Barclays is okay, but their rates are tiered and usually not the highest. If you’re just looking to park cash, you might find better rates at other banks. Barclays doesn’t offer checking or other typical banking services, so keep that in mind.

Which bank would you recommend?

For an emergency fund, I’d suggest checking out banks with top rates. Barclays is decent but rarely at the top of most lists. Look around for those consistently high rates.

Thanks. I’m mainly looking to park some money for emergencies, but I’d like a bank with good customer service and easy-to-use online banking. Quick and easy transfers would be a plus too.

Most online banks are pretty solid with online banking and transfers. Customer service can be hit or miss anywhere, but for a high-yield account, it’s usually better to chase the best rate rather than prioritize service. You might only need to talk to them once or twice, so focus on where you can get the best returns.
