What Type of Wells Fargo Account Is Best for Large Mobile Deposits and Free Cashier’s Checks?

Hi everyone, I have a regular checking account with Wells Fargo, which limits daily deposits to $5k and monthly deposits to $15k. I often receive checks over $7k, and depositing them at the ATM is quite time-consuming. Does anyone know what type of Wells Fargo account would better accommodate large deposits, or can you recommend other banks with better options?

Hello. Have you considered asking them to raise the limit? Branch or call center staff can often submit requests to increase it. The decision typically depends on factors like the strength of your customer relationship and account activity.

If you have a significant amount of money, you should consider a prime or premium checking account, which offers higher limits. If you don’t have a local branch, you can call the 1-800 number to convert your accounts and increase your limits.

Even with a standard checking account, you can request a limit increase by phone. They might refuse, but it’s worth asking. These limits are set for your protection.

Consider upgrading your account or switching to a different bank. Ally Bank, for example, offers much higher limits.
