does anyone know if an ACH deposit from ebay sales or charles schwab counts for the wells fargo 300 dollar bonus? here’s what wells fargo says about qualifying deposits:
qualifying electronic deposit includes things like salary, government benefits, or other income that posts directly to your account. it must be done through the ACH network, RTP network, or fednow service, or be an electronic credit from a third-party service that pays into your debit card using the visa or mastercard network. things like transfers between accounts, mobile deposits, zelle, or deposits made at a branch or atm don’t count as qualifying deposits.
an early ACH deposit (like early payday) doesn’t count for the bonus until it’s posted and no longer pending.
might be worth asking your bank to check with their deposit operations team to see what code is tagged to it. then ask wells if that code will count for the bonus. my guess is that it will, though i’m not directly in deposit ops.
not sure, but eBay might not work. they’re mostly looking for direct deposits like a paycheck or pension. just moving money between accounts won’t count.

i think the ebay income should work since they said ‘other income’. with bank of america, it shows as ‘direct deposit’ when i add funds from ebay.
