I just want a bank that isn’t being way too overly suspicious with charges…any recommendations?
I’m so tired of Citi bank…excessive holds on my funds under reviews and customer service is terrible
I would start investing in them.
Discover checking.
So, if you switch banks and you get a returned check and have to return the money you spent from it to them, or you have fraud on your card because they didn’t return the charge, it’ll be all good, right?
More than likely, anywhere new you go will probably be even worse at first with holds as you will be a new customer. Are these paychecks? What are the deposits from that you are making? Can you have it set up electronically as ACH instead or, if it’s a paycheck, direct deposit?
Shittybank.
Easy.
Bank local.
Credit unions are usually the most customer-service oriented.

I agree. They tend to focus more on customer service. The big banks try to, but lots of bureaucracy makes it very complicated and time-consuming.

They will often have stricter rules on funds availability with deposit holds due to fraud and scams.

I have found it the opposite. If you are a long-time customer, you rarely have any holds.
@Noor
I work for a credit union, and it can vary per person. But credit unions don’t always have as much money to throw away with scams and fraud, so they will often have more rules than a big bank that has more resources.
