Most banks are being impacted by a persistent problem with a third-party payment processor. Maybe not even Huntington’s fault. It began the previous week.
Make the switch to a credit union; any mediocre credit union will make you happy than any “great” bank. Invest your money in your community and yourself rather than in the pockets of some even richer assholes.
Affinity Plus Credit Union, Spire, and Wings Financial are a few excellent local options.
Not Huntington, but a federal clearing house is involved. As soon as they get your DD, the majority of banks will make it available. Are you certain that the employer is not the cause of the issue? I’ve witnessed situations when clients accuse the bank when, in reality, their company was just holding off on sending out payroll while anything cleared up.
