I accidentally ordered a Payoneer card without realizing there was a $30 fee. I never activated it because I read somewhere that if you don’t activate the card, you won’t be charged.
But when I checked my account recently, I saw that they still charged me $30—two months after ordering the card, even though I never activated it.
Is there any way to dispute this charge and get my money back, or do I just have to accept the loss and cancel the card?
Payoneer has two different annual fees—one for the account and another for the card. If you don’t activate the card, they usually don’t charge you for it. However, there’s also a maintenance fee for the account unless you receive more than $2,500 in payments (I’m not sure of the exact amount).
Check if the charge was for the card or if it was a maintenance fee for the account instead.
