Chase vs BOA... who gives better service?

I’m trying to decide between Chase and Bank of America. Anyone have experience with their customer service? Any thoughts would help.

Chase has the better site and tech. Support-wise, it’s pretty average for both, but if you’re talking about in-person support, Chase wins. I tried to see a banker at BoA without an appointment, and they turned me away.

Yeah, Chase has stricter rules too. Easier to get dropped by them if you don’t meet their standards.

Chase made me panic once because their customer service had no clue what they were doing. They told me I got scammed when I was actually talking to them directly. Feels like one department has no idea what the other is doing, maybe because they outsource their support.

Nope, both are just as bad, in my opinion.

If I have to call, I’d go with Chase. BOA’s phone support is a nightmare to get through.

I use both, and honestly, they’re pretty similar when it comes to service.

Been trying for two years to get BoA to accept a power of attorney on my partner’s credit card. They keep sending me to the branch, and the branch staff has no clue because she doesn’t have an account there. Total mess.

I’d say Chase, but no big bank has great call centers. Most of them outsource to Manila or India. But whenever I’ve needed help at a branch, Chase staff have been good.
