Hello, I’ve been trying to get verified for almost a month now after I tried to do a bank transfer and forgot my PIN. I mainly bank with Capital One but signed up for a Chase account for a promo offer. Before I got locked out, I requested a new PIN, which arrived about a week later. Every time I call Chase, I answer the verification questions, and they keep saying, ‘we’ve been locked out of the account, you’ll need to call back to retry.’ The nearest Chase branch is about a 4-5 hour drive, and when I ask if there are other options, they just tell me to call back or visit a branch. Is there anyone else I can contact for help with this?
It sounds like either the verification answers aren’t matching what Chase has, or there’s some issue on their end. Try calling again when you’ve got time and ask to speak with a supervisor directly to see if they can sort this out. It sounds a bit more complicated than usual.

My phone number seems to be blocked in their system. They usually ask, ‘what state was your SSN issued in?’ and I always give the same answer. I did try asking for a supervisor, but it didn’t change anything. That was just today, actually, and I’m still stuck.
@Sai
Maybe try calling from a different phone, or if that doesn’t work, think about opening a local bank account and moving your funds over there. Then you can close the Chase account if it’s too much hassle.
P.S. That’s an odd question they ask. Your SSN could be from any state!
@Skyler
I already tried using a different phone, but no luck. Plus, I’ve got a paycheck in there I need to access. I’m just hoping someone here knows a way around this before I have to drive five hours to the branch.
Honestly, if you can, just walk into a branch. Show them your ID, and they should be able to unlock it right there.
Just curious, what’s this PIN for? I bank with Chase, and I’ve only ever had a PIN for my debit card. Are you trying to transfer money out of Chase, or are you locked out of your online banking?
