Bank of america login having issues help

When attempting to log in to online banking, I encountered an error message prompting me to call 1.800.933.6262. Upon doing so, an agent assured me they would unlock my account post-verification of certain transactions. However, despite waiting, I remained unable to access my account. Subsequent calls directed me to contact the fraud department at (866)-376-4584. Concerned about its legitimacy, I researched the number and found indications of it being a scam, with no mention on the official BofA website. Upon reconnecting with the original BofA number, attempts to transfer me to the fraud department were futile, resulting in disconnections. Repeated efforts yielded similar outcomes. How should I proceed in resolving this issue?

Though it might seem like a foolish suggestion, have you tried cleaning your device’s cache and cookies? This alone would resolve problems for half of the calls I would get when addressing internet access difficulties for clients (at another bank). And that was all that was required to solve the problem while I was having trouble logging in.

I’ve been frustrated trying to log in to my Bank of America account!

I know these things happen, but I want to manage my finances. Let’s troubleshoot this together and see if we can figure out what’s going on.

Here are some things I’ve found that might be causing the problem:

Technical Glitch: Bank of America's website or app might be experiencing temporary technical difficulties. This happens sometimes, and it's usually resolved quickly. I can check their website for any service alerts https://www.bankofamerica.com/online-banking/mobile-and-online-banking-features/manage-alerts/.

Login Credentials: There's a chance I'm simply putting in the wrong information. I should double-check my User ID and password to make sure everything is typed correctly. Maybe I even forgot my password altogether! No worries, Bank of America has a process to reset it https://secure.bankofamerica.com/auth/forgot/reset-entry/.

Browser or App Issues: It's possible my browser settings are causing problems, or maybe the Bank of America app needs an update. I can try clearing my browser cache, using a different browser, or updating the app to see if that helps.

Security Features: Bank of America uses security features like two-factor authentication to keep our accounts safe. If I'm having trouble receiving the verification code, I can check if the message went to spam or try a different method like a text message.

If I’ve tried all these things and still can’t log in, I can contact Bank of America’s customer service directly. They should be able to help me diagnose the problem and get me back into my account.

By following these steps, hopefully, we can get this login issue fixed and I can access my Bank of America account without any more trouble.
